Mazda USA DOES NOT stand behind their products!
I purchase a new 2023 Mazda at the end of December 2022. The transmission suffered a total failure at 1150 miles and left me stranded.
Mazda roadside assistance had the vehicle returned to the dealer on a flatbed carrier. The dealer had the vehicle for 29 days attempting to repair the transmission and called on the 29th day to tell me the Mazda was repaired and come pick it up. My state's lemon law kicks in at 30 days of down time. coincidence or deliberate, I will leave that for you to decide.
While the Mazda was in the possession of the car carrier/dealer a front fender was crushed and needed major repair work. The paint on the replaced fender does not match the rest of the vehicle and there are numerous runs in the paint and other visible imperfections.
One week after picking up the "repaired" Mazda the transmission suffered the exact same failure and stranded me yet again and was flat bedded back to the dealer.
I informed the dealer that I had purchased a OBDII code reader after the first time my Mazda died and it had recorded 2 serious transmission errors. The dealer contacted me to say they had test driven the vehicle and were unable to duplicate the problem and that they were unable to read the failure codes I had recorded so I needed to come pick up the car.
The second break down of the Mazda has now triggered my state's lemon law and I have asked Mazda to purchase the car back from me.
By far the most frustrating and disappointing part of my entire ordeal has been the absolute lack of any help, apology for all my trouble, or any empathy. Mazda USA has never taken my phone calls or replied to voice mails. It appears that they intend to drag their feet to the extent allowed by the lemon law. I believe I will be forced to go through my state's lemon law arbitration process. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced by a supposed quality company.

None of your pictures really supports anything except that is what you found in the ECU and did not verify through the proper testing that it was a really issue, you know there is a diagnostic tree to follow to confirm ALL DTC that may be generated by the ECU,PCM.TCM right ?
I have to tell you most that join forums don't join and start complaining as if to rally support of post negative experiences. 99% join to ask for service help (not what they think MAZDA should be doing warranty wise, go to a legal site for that) or want to be in a forum that they can chat with other owners about there MAZDA. Still not "beeetching" right off the start!
Personally if you had joined my vehicle platform forum (shall remain un-named for obvious reasons) I would have likely WARNED you or just by now kicked you off. Forums like these don't need a new MAZDA (vehcke) owner joining a forum to complain and be negative right from the get go! !
Naturally that's my opinion, but as a matter of example I did see on another Mazda forum where a member was posting in your general way and just this week was finally BANNED!

Callisto,
I have been only truthful while venting my frustration and the pure hell the purchase of my new Mazda has been.
This forum has far too many mean spirited members in my opinion.
I will save you the trouble of ranting about booting me and will leave this forum.

I am sorry James Newton that you had to go through all that. And you are not alone. We all have our bad experiences with brands.
And, my car has gone through a lot of **** when I took my car to Seattle (you are not the only one who has had damage with their vehicle).
I got my 2022 Mazda 3 Turbo Premium Plus last year in April.
In November 2022, a tiny pebble cracked my windshield. I had to get it replaced by Safelite for around $1600
In March 2023, I tried to pull over for an emergency vehicle, but because of the narrow road, I chipped the black rims.
But I still love my car and have no issues. Hope I don’t have the transmission problem like you.
I hope you don’t hate Mazda because of it. I am sure a certified Mazda technician and repair specialist will take a good look at it.
Edit: During the cracked windshield incident, I had around 3000 miles in my car. And with the rim chipping incident, my car had around 5000 miles.

I get at least 1 customer a week that comes into the shop with a DTC and tells ME what needs to be done to correct the problem. I always live by the rule the customer is always correct/right. So when I write it on the work order that that is what the customer wants done I also write NO GARANTEE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM and tell them they must sign it. Suddenly they are no longer so sure about that DTC they found. LOL, Now they want me to do what I can to fix the problem. I wont say every time the DTC was not directedly related to a problem but enough times the original problem caused additional DTC to be generated which a trained Technician would recognize and do a better evaluation to go to the possible cause of the problem and the DTC instead of just the DTC itself.
As far as you thread I did actually take a interest and made some calls to IMO are transmission experts. They read everything you posted. The conclusion was that 2 new transmission in so few a miles failing mechanically is just not possible.
I would be prepared for the same statement coming from MAZDA should you pursue the lemon law. But I would also suggest that you get legal advise to explain more about how the lemon law actually works and not what so many think they know legally how it works and all the steps to go through.
I hope you stay as a member just lighten up a bit. But I will say if you jin other Mazda forums you are not likely to get a welcome matt starting off with "VENTING" about your experience so far with your new MAZDA and MAZDA corp policies.
