Are Mazda windshields too fragile? too weak? too thin?
Just bought a 2014 Mazda 3 grand touring with 100 miles. On the third day of driving, a small pebble hit my windshield, barely noticeable. Within an hour, it had developed a horizontal crack line. By the end of the day it had expanded to 20 inches. Having owned many cars in the last 30 years, I cannot think that this is any where NORMAL.
yes insurance will cover damage, but if the quality does not change, will we have to replace the windshield every year?
Is the company sacrificing quality and safety for efficiency?
I will be voicing my concern to the link below

I have read many threads here and feel we have a legitimate concern .
voicing our thoughts here will not change anyone's actions, but through proper channels, we can do some good.
