MYSTERY COOLING PROBLEM with 98 626 v-6
I currently own a 1998 Mazda 626 ES V-6, 2.5L DOHC, with a/c, and all the options.
My car has been overheating for the past 3 weeks off and on. I have replaced the water pump recently (within the last 10 months), and the thermostat 3 times within the last 2 months. The first time, it fixed the problem. 2 weeks ago, it started again. The water pump is circulating water just fine, and the new thermostat I assumed would fix it... but Napa gave me a thermostat that did not have the "jiggle pin" for pressure release, so I had to get another one that had it. I replaced it a third time, and it ran fine up until today, Oct. 15th 2010, when it started overheating again. I checked the water level, and it was a little low, so I filled it. Not 2 minutes after I started it and tried to go up to town it started overheating again.
I have no idea what could be going on, as all the components ( that I know of ) are new, and both electric cooling fans are working properly.
Can anyone please help me?
