rev limited, mx5 eunos
Hello all
2nd post.
same car but this time, when cruising off the m5 the power cut and then came back on after the revs dropped below 2000.
Now whether I'm driving or idling, as soon as the engine goes above ~2000 the power cuts, the revs drop back down and then the power kicks back and the cycle repeats.
It sounds electrical and i've had a lot of leaking in the foot well. someone suggested it may be a cam belt sensor. Anyone agree and any recommendations as to how to fix it?
cheers
steve

Is the footwell wet??? . Is the carpet wet??. If this vehicle is an MX5 there is a good chance ( Strong ) chance that the reason for this fault is because the P.C.M is wet / connections are wet this will give an electronic short circuit on the connector pins to the P.C.M . Pull the carpet back and see if there is water on the floor and surrounding the metal P.C.M plate , if there is water then i would suggest you mop it up and re try the vehicle with the P.C.M in a dry state .
