i recently purchased a 03 mazda 6 and noticed that i am taching 3000 rpms at 75 miles an hour is this normal?

Yes,
My '06 2.3l 5 spd is about 3700 rpm at 80 mph

My Protege does about 3000 rpm's at about 70 mph with an auto trans. Just FYI.
