Two Questions(2001 Mazda Protege ES, 2.0L)
Up front, not a gear guy, I can do most entry level things(Change oil, replace brakes, belts), not much more, saying this just in case I don't give enough info. So, my car died a few weeks ago. When it was being jumped, the connections were reversed, and it blew the main fuse. I had it towed to the nearest shop. They replace the fuse, the battery, the terminals(they were pretty corroded), and flushed the coolant. Have the car back, and two big problems. One, the radio and keyless entry remote don't work. It is a stock radio. The fuses are fine, which makes sense because the main blew. Not sure whats happening. Also, the car temps raises after driving for a while. If I put the heat on full blast, it goes down, and the heat coming out of the vents could melt steel. I am looking for any ideas. I am willing to do anything except thing where people would feel I would really mess up the car if I tried it on my own. I really don't want to bring it back to where it was fixed, they did a bait an d switch on me. They called with a quote, said that would take care of it, then called and said, we took everything off and you need this, and we can't move ahead unless this and it was 800 more than the quote. Thanks in advance for any advice
