Hello all from sunny UK. I have a 2010 CX7 2.2d (MZR CD) that has the CEL illuminated for the last week. I have a basic code scanner which is telling me code P0442 has occurred. I can clear the notification but the CEL (accompanied with the 'SCR fault warning' on the central dash screen and the vehicle going into a restricted driving mode - slightly reduced acceleration) is back on again after 5 miles or so. From what I can find online, the code relates to a small leak in the EVAP system. For the life of me I cannot locate the components of the EVAP sytem in the engine bay for this particular engine ( I can find plenty of Youtube vids about this very issue but they are all concerning different engines). I called my local Mazda dealer who also could not find any reference to the EVAP components on the 2.2d. The car is, right now, with my local mechanic who is equally having problems trying to locate the precise fault. Can anyone advise what the components are, and their location from filler cap to engine bay, of the EVAP system of this engine? As an aside, a few days before the CEL illuminated, I overfilled the diesel tank when the trigger on the fuel pump failed to cut off the feed and diesel spilled out of the filler neck. I'm getting a bit desperate as I'm supposed to be driving the car to Europe next week! Many thanks.

I've now discovered that my 2.2d CX 7 does not have teh EVAP system fitted. My local garage has replaced the adblue/def injector (2nd one in 2 years!) - I was very doubtful this was the cause and it has proved not to be. JUst 5 miles down the road from collecting my 'repaired' car the SCR Malfunction warning came on again and the car goes into self protection mode. However, I am now seeing the fault code P20e8 being recorded on my scanner which suggests a low pressure in the SCR system. If the pump is faulty in the Adblue/DEF tank can this be replaced or repaired or could it be something else?
