Mazda5 exhuast and intake
Has anybody added a cold air intake and an exhuast to there mazda5. I found one on www.srmotorsports.com. The intake is $399 and the exhuast is $799. Does it really add as much as they claim, will it give me better gas milage and is it worth the price. I'm very interested to find out. Thanks.

RE: Mazda5 exhuast and intake
adding a cold air intake and exhaust will give you better gas mileage, but nothing that is going to blow you out of the water. maybe expect 2mpg more per gallon if driven properly (granny style). The money it takes to purchase the intake and exhaust will in no way be able to be recovered if you are trying to get your money back by saving on gas. those parts are really just meant for performance. And when you hear the sound of these two parts together, you are going to have a heavy foot on the gas pedal because you are loving the sound and want to show off a bit. I'm not sure why that intake is soo much money, maybe because of the brand name. Is there any other intakes for your car as I believe those are short ram intakes?

Agreed, you may get slightly better mileage, but not enough to justify that amount of money.
