[align=left]The front passenger door of my 2001 626 is stuck shut. It won't open from the inside or outside. When I try and open the door, it behaves as if it is locked. I've tried unlocking it manually and with the electronic key without success.

I did not have an accident or damage the door in any way. This happened immediately after I washed it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure if this will help you, but I had something similar happen to my drivers-side door on my 2000 626. I was able to open the door from inside and then took the inside panel off the doors (several screws and pop-in fasteners). Turns out there is a small plastic latch that holds a metal rod, and the metal rod runs between the door handle and the latch. The small plastic latch had come unfastened, so when I pulled the handle, nothing happened. I simply re-latched it around the metal rod, and voila! All fixed. Maybe this could be happening to you?
