323 speedometer
Hey i am new here so bear with me ><
I have a 1993 mazda 323 with a 1990 cylinder head-just changed it.
Car ran great for a week no problems no nothing.
Thismornin i turned the car on, fine, nothin wrong, went for a drive for about 3 miles.
When i left where i was i noticed my speedometer was jumping around while i was accelerating till i got to about 40 mph then it stayed with me.
After a little while i could only get the speedometer to move when i let off the gas
now it wont move at all.
I checked the fuses, see if it was connected to the transmission;theres fluid around where it connects.
checked for breaks in the line inside the dash
I can not find what is wrong
If anyone knows whats wrong let me know;
looks like im gonna be driving by ear for a while >.>

I believe that is still a cable driven speedo. Try disconnecting it from the back of the speedo head and spray some lube in the cable... A light-weight oil would be good, like 3 in 1 or sewing machine oil.
If that doesn't work, a new cable is liable to be in order.
