323F 1.8 Executive running rough
Hi Guys,
I have a 323F that is struggling, garage said it was MAF sensor, replaced it with a second hand unit, but no better, garage thinks it is ECU, car does run though so find the fact that the ECU can fail and engine still runs strange!!
Where are all of the sensors on this Engine, what can cause this to run rough and the fumes to smell so rich??
Cost of parts are so expensive the car may end up in the scrappy!! Where is the ECU Fitted, and are there any other tests I can carry out ofn the rest of the sensors.
U know it makes sense buy a Land Rover!!

Replace the oxygen sensor. I bought a new Bosch for $45 USD. Also a complete tune-up including new plugs gapped to the spec, new rotor, cap, spark plug wires, PCV valve, replace the air filter. Set ignition timing to spec with wire to vacuum advance disconnected and vacuum hoses to vacuum advance pulled off and plugged.
