Default 626 4 Cylinder 16v Misfiring

I'm not sure of the year, it is newer I would say 2000+. When I start the car it requires a little help from the gas pedal to get going, Then idles roughly. Put the trans in Drive and push on the gas and it does not accelerate normally. There is a slight vibration and an audible putt in the exhaust tone. Plugs and wires appear to be in good shape. OBD port throws a #3 cylinder misfire code at me. From my experience this is either a camshaft position sensor or the coil. This is the first Mazda I've ever worked on. Just looking for some input on testing the sensors.
