Default 626 engine trouble

I have a 93 626, Its got the 4 cylinder in it. its making a loud clanking sound..i though it was a piston rod but it still starts up and runs but with a drastic decrease in horsepower. i was thinking it might be a rocker or somthin to do with the camshaft assembly.i was just wondering if any body knew anything about my problem. If so post back asap please

Thank you,

Craig

Being unable to hear your sound it is difficult to say what it might be. You say lose of power but does it also run rough and idle? Like it might be missfiring in a cylinder. With engine at idle, use some insullated pliers/gloves, and remove spark plug wires one at a time. Does the noise change when the wire from a certain cylinder is removed?? Post back if you can.
