'92 929 codes 2 & 3
Ok, since both of these codes have to do with the crank position sensor how in the hell does my car run? What other items may related to these codes?
The car starts, runs but over fuels (maybe all the injectors are firing all the time?), and it really over fuels of you try to drive it. Almost right after it starts it throuws these two codes. I doubt it is the crank angle sensor since it runs but I will ohm it out to make sure it is with-in spec. What about the distributor, does it send a signal to the ECU as well, acting as a cam angle sensor?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Code 2 is fault in Ne2 signal which would be from the crankangle sensor down by the crankshaft pulley.
Code 3 is fault in G signal which is from the distributor.
Engine still runs because you still have a Ne1 signal being output from the distributor as well that the PCM is going off of. You are correct that it is overfueling. Failsafe for loss of both G and Ne2 signals is simultaneous injection to all cylinders. The PCM still kind of knows when to fire but just not to which cylinder so it fires tooall. Bet your mileage sucks.
Look into the Ne2 signal first. Wires at the sensor connector should be Blue w/ Green stripe and Blue w/ Yellow stripe. Make sure crankangle sensor at the crankshaft is connected and not damaged. There is no air gap to set. Resistance across the two pins of the sensor should be between 950-1250 ohms.

RE: '92 929 codes 2 & 3
I checked the crank sensor and it test at 1168 so I think I am ok there. The plug seems fine, no wire damage that I can tell but, maybe I should make sure the signal is getting all the way back to the ECU, what a pain that will be. I picked up a used distributor yesterday and will try it to see if it helps at all. I had problems getting the old one on and off the motor when I was doing the head gasket project so maybe it has more issues or maybe I damaged it being rough with it. I am thinking about picking up a new crank sensor for $70 but when it test fine I cant bring myself to spend the $$, thinking something else is the problem.

where's the Fuse block on these things????? I have what i have been told is one of the rare 929's , it has a solar panel in the sunroof according to the book for the car (which i can't find at the moment, otherwise i wouldn't be asking such a dumb question) it also has the two fans in the back on each side of the trunk that is supposed to pull the hot air out of the inside of the car in the summer heat and pull in fresh air. any way the pont of my question is this , yesterday my radio went out, so did the cd player(obviously) and the door ajar light is on constant unless you trigger the Hold button on the shifter with it in gear. Then it fades almost all the way off but not completely. I would also like to know how you would test the codes on one of these. I have the check engine light that comes on at various times of driving (usually anything over 25 miles) and goes out when the car is restarted. doesn't matter if the air is on or not, it still happens. Though with the air on it tends to happen a little faster.
I know this is a lot to ask but I can't afford to go to the dealer for things any more they just charge way too much for anything any more.
Any help you can offer is appreciated
Thanks in advance.
