Default 93 626 dies out at 4000 rpm

my 93 626 dies out every time the rev goes over 4000 rpm....does it mean i have to look for a new or reman ignition module? please help...thanks

its your distributor, i have a 93 626 lx and it was doing it, first at like 6k, then at 4, then it would just do it if i drove around normal at like 2-3k rpm, your coil inside the distributor is gone, theyre all one piece too, just be careful buying one, theyre nto really availible at parts stores i had to get mine out of a junk yard, two of them were cooked and i didnt get any luck til the 3rd one
