Default Error Codes

When I acquired my 626 Phoenix (1999 model) 12 months ago it had been MOT'd on the day I got it. Though this is going to sound stupid I did notice the ABS light on the dash was lit but as the car came with a full MOT I didn't really think much of it.
Having put it in for it's MOT this year I was informed the light on the dash was an instant fail. The brakes themselves are fine and passed the test but this light on the dash stops me from getting an MOT pass. Furthermore finding a garage to diagnose and fix the problem has become a nightmare. (I'm trying to avoid main dealer inflated costs)
Today an Auto Electrician looked at it and said he came up with 2 error codes. Error 14 which is rear passenger side sensor and error 48 which he couldn't seem to find any reference for. He says he can order and fit a new sensor but can't guarantee it will fix the problem. Is there anyone out there who can help or is there a list of error codes online I can look at?
I'm really at a loss as to how to sort this problem out.
Any suggestions or advice would be gratefully received.
Thank you

You can goggle them. 14 - Circuit failure of the LR ABS wheel-speed sensor
48 - LR ABS wheel-speed sensor input signal missing. I'd say they are both becuase of the sensor

Kevin - Thanks for your reply mate. To get it through it's last MOT they had to replace the LR brake caliper so what you're saying makes sense. I did try to Google them before I bothered you guys. I'm really appreciative that you took the time to reply.

Thank you
