The best way to check fuses is to check them all with a test light. Look on the end of each fuse and you will see an open slot on each side. Probe the light into each fuse and check for the light to come on.

Although if the radio comes on and the display works like it should but no sound, it sounds like the radio has gone bad. It does not sound like a fuse problem. You would notice other things not working if a fuse was out.

I just looked the radio up. There are three fuses involved with the radio. One is a 15A "ROOM" (#12) fuse, and the other is the 10A "RADIO" (#2) fuse on the underdash fusebox. There is an underhood fusebox fuse that is #13 that is for the radio too. I have included the details of each fusebox.

While you are back there ( if the backside of the speakers are exposed in the trunk ), check the rear speaker connections and make sure that none of the wires have been grounded to the speaker body by maybe something clunking around in the trunk or when loading large objects. With radio on and volume up, you might also try disconnecting the speakers and see if audio sound returns to other speakers. If any single speaker wire is shorted to ground or sometimes even is speaker is shorted internally it will kill the sound output to all speakers but should return if the ground condition is removed or defective speaker is disconnected.

ok this is messed i plugged my factory deck into another 929 owned by a buddy and it seems to work fine im wondering if the deck is preout only and stereo is powered fully by factory amp ,maybe my amp is toast or maybe other issue here .id sure not want to have to rewire each speaker one by one to a new deck although would prob sound better

I dont know if your amp has a green light on it but if that green light is on your amp is getting power, I had that problem with my aftermarket deck and my wires were all screwed up and when i shake my wires behind the deck the music would come on and when i move it a little it would cut back off. Your amp has nothing to do with your deck, your amp is there to push your speakers not your deck the only thing that can be wrong with it are the the wires, cause it worked in your friend car so your radio is fine.
