Is hum/buzz normal?
I'm having a little difficulty resurrecting a 1992 Mazda 626 after it's been sitting for a few years (see additional details here)
There's a chance the problem may have to do with the fuel injectors —or something that controls them. Coincidentally, I can hear a slight clickity buzz/humm (like that from a transformer, electromagnet, relay or similar) that sounds as though it's coming from directly under the printed "2.2" on the air intake manifold. I'd like to know whether or not this is normal.
Do any of you with a similar but functional car, with the key in the ON position, engine not running, hear something similar?
Thank you

Before (trying) to start the car the first time - I noticed a lot of clicking noises from the engine area. I thought it was something with the fuel pump or similar which was building up pressure again, but I never tried to localize the sound.
As I normally have the hood closed (and it has a good sound isolation) I have not thought about that sound before in "normal" conditions. I will start and drive the car some before Sunday evening - if still interesting I could listen for those sounds again.
BTW: Adding a quick link how my engine looked like during disassembly. http://i6.tagstat.com/image05/c/223f/0007002328_.jpg
(just battling the car rust at the moment...)

One "click"
Drove it successfully to nearest gas station for some fuel and car cleaning (before trying to fix the rusty spots).
