Default Mazda 323 '88 Rear Strut

Hi guys, I'm trying to change the strut on a Mazda 323 1988 SOHC Non-turbo and I came across a problem when trying to separate the brake line from the strut. It looks like there is a small clip holding it in which I was able to remove but then what? Is it supposed to slide out of the opening? Or am I supposed to unscrew the brake line? Here is a picture

It looks as if the brake line and strut fused together.

Any help would be appreciated thanks guys

Yes, it should slide out of the opening. Use a small wire brush and small amounts of pb Blaster to remove the rust. You may try slighty tapping it to get out. If the hose gets damaged you will need to replace it. It is not very expensive. But if you have to replace the hose on one side do the other one too.
