Smile Mazda 323 Turbo, Original UKE Car Pics and Spec

Hey guys n gals, I am new here to please don't caps lock me to death for getting something wrong .

I have a Mazda 323 turbo GTX 1988 running 191.6 bhp but am looking for some help to get it up to the 200bhp mark. I have found one reason for loss of power and that is that it has a cracked exhaust manifold. So if any one has a new one or knows of any one that would do a tubular one, please let me know.

Spec's

I will start from top to bottom (I hope i remember everything)

Ram air filter, Group N (upgraded MAF Sensor
Group N ECU Mapped and Boost Limit removed
Ported and polished inlet manifold with 500cc injectors/ upgraded fuel rail
Walbro 244 fuel Pump
Ported and gas flowed head with bigger valves.
Kent Cams (I think)
Head has been skimmed for higher compression
+.40 overbore with wiesco pistons
H Section con Rods
Lightened and balanced crank shaft
Lightened flywheel
Diesel Clutch
Standard FMIC
Turbo dynamics gt35 hybrid turbo
Straight through custom stainless exhaust
Leda Coilover suspension
Tarox Brakes
OZ/Enkei Lightweight wheels
HKS Turbo Timer

Everything else on the car is completely standard. This engine has only done around 12,000 miles since rebuild so is still pretty fresh.

I have seen these engines go up to the 350bhp mark and I just cant figure out why mine isn't seeing 200bhp, its still fecking quick don't get me wrong but as I'm sure you all know, more is better

I'll attach some pictures to this so you can have a look at the little beast. she does need some body work attention i know but for me its more important to have the car reliable and handling well rather than tarting up the arches and making it look like it's all show and no go.

Have fun guys and keep on boosting

Upgrade the ignition to MSD or higher output coils, NGK iridium spark plugs.
Good Product to read: http://www.msdignition.com/Products/...ng_Master.aspx

It also lets you retard more timing as your boost increases.

Already have iridium plugs in her. thought that was a given really . I take it the MSD would be the best thing to do to increase power? is there not a cheaper alternative to the msd system or should i just bight the bullet and go for it?

The ignition is the thing I see lacking in your system. It is very important when it comes to Turbo charging. You might want to try a better more powerful ign coil first as i'm sure the stock one isn't cutting it. When I had mine in my van, it would be hard on the distributor cap with the multiple sparks (when you buy controller).
You are gonna need a new ign coil for sure anyway so try the ign coil first.
You need at least 30,000 volts from a coil. I have over 40,000 in my mazda. My stock coil was 20,000 volts.
I also suggest adding a ground from engine to body.

Have a look here: MSD Ignition Products
The Blaster 2 hi-performance #8202 is 45,000 volts = perfect.

When you click on the one on the page link I sent you, there are 5 "Tabs". Click on the Instructions Tab and click on what it says and open to view it.
Looks like a straight swap.
Like I said before, I would like to see another ground wire from engine block to battery.
