My Car Wont Start keyless entry problem??
I recently Got a 1998 Mazda 626 LX, and the guy i bought it from mentioned that he has had to reset his remote kelyess entry before because the car would not turn on at all. Well Im pretty sure that it has happened again, When I go to start the car the lights and radio and everything work fine but the engine wont turn at all, it doesnt even click. Is this the keyless remote system? and if so any suggestions on how to reset it?

What is the Keyless Entry System and Anti-Theft set up?
Either one aftermarket?
The only thing I can think off is that the keyless sent a signal to the AT system to disable the starter but, it seems that it would also signal the alarm to sound and lights to flash.
Any any case: Try locking and unlocking the driver's and passenger door with your physical key and then try it.
Though this is more of a Jeep thing, I've seen it work on other makes but, in different patterns.
Examples:
1. Lock all doors from interior switch and close all doors.
- unlock driver's door (do not open the door)
- unlock passenger door (do not open)
- open drivers door and try to start.
2. Lock all doors from interior.
- unlock passenger
- unlock drivers.
3. Lock all
- unlock passenger only and climb over to start.
It may take some trail and error but, it beats just staring at the car.
Also, when the previous owner 'had it reset', this is most likely what the dealer did and then charged him $90.
It could also be a bad starter.
Check for power at the small wire leading to the solenoid when someone else 'cranks' the key.
