Hello Yall, I've got an overheating problem I can't solve. new v, serpitine, and timing belts. Water pump checked, resently changed. Thermostat new. New radiator hoses. Entire cooling system has been cleaned and flushed several times. Has some bubbling into the radiator reservoir. I haven't noticed any water loss other from over fill of reservoir at overheat. Won't overheat at idle. And compartment heater starts blowing cold air when it starts getting hot. I'm lost and need help asap[]

Hello Dave, Thanks for answering. Yes the fan is working. I think I found part of the problem. Oil has a little water in it. BLOWN Head Gasket. I hope that is all that is wrong. Don't know what is causing the overheating so fast though. From a cold start to approx. 1 mile to 1.5 miles down the road it is already starting to get overheated. That is with the rad fluid filled up just before start up. I'm going to go ahead and pull the head off and take a look. [:@]Just hoping that nothing has cracked or warped.

Continuous bubble in overflow good indication of headgasket or crack. Another indicator is to make sure that you radiator cap is good and hold pressure. Starting with engine cold, start the engine and start squeezing the upper radiaor hose. Normally would take 60 seconds or more for the hose to get hard with pressure. A bad headgasket or other combustion leakage into cooling system will cause a very rapid increase in cooling system pressure and upper raditor hose will get very hard much quicker.

Hello Babyhuey, I definitly have a blown head gasket. Got it all apart and know can't figure a way to torque down the two outside intake manifold bolts underneth the manifold. Nothing fits. No torque wrench I have ever had will even come close to getting under there. Guess torquing is of course bot an option. Do you know what to do???????????? [sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=bangbang.gif]Or how to get SOMETHING in under there?

If the hose does not get hard with pressure what does that mean?
