Default P0175 turbine speed input only when cold

ok here is the run down i need some input on this. i just bought a 626 for my mom her van is not going to last long but any way.

its a 1999 626 es v6 auto GF trans

when its cold such as the first start of the day. the first to second shift is hard 2nd to 3rd is better but can be felt and no over drive. after the car has reached operating temp it will quit flashing by itself or i will have to restart the car to reset it but then it will shift wonderfull ALL DAY under anyload any rpm.

i have pulled the code its p0715 turbine speed input.

i am very mechanically inclined i have not yet had the time to test the actual sensor. but my question i really want answered is could there be a part in the trans bad that could be giving the sensor the incorrect reading then the tcm thinks its just a sensor or general circuit

thanks any good input would be great i have a few first gens probes but this 626 is very nice and i would love to keep it

Check that https://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/mazda-323-mazda-626-mazda-929-24/new-forum-i-have-red99-626-a-2655/ I attach pictures which are not anymore there. As you see the sensor is magnetic and can absorb metal from oil

ok i took the sensor out of the car the fluid looks great and there are no depreis on the sensors pick up. i tested it for resistance and nothing compleatly open. so i put it under some hot water and after a few minutes it started giving a resistance. my first reading was 35.78 mega ohms. so i let the sensor gool and it went open again. i have not replaced the sensor yet for i dont know where to buy a NEW one.

Yes, it seems your TSS is actually out of order... Do not forget to apply ATF to O-ring when you fit new TSS. And also replace O-ring if new one is available.
