Piezo buzzer for headlight warning
Greetings
I just picked up a piezo buzzer from our local radio shack equivalent ($5) which I was planning to install as a headlight warning alarm in my ancient '95 323. Some instructions for this I've found suggest connecting the red wire to the headlight fuse slot and the black wire to the wiper fuse slot. Some suggest this is putting both circuits in danger which makes sense. Regardless, I've discovered that my headlight fuse is in the fuse block under the hood, not in the fuse box on the driver side with all the non essential fuses.
*sigh*
So, has anyone ever done this, or any ideas how I can make this work? I'm about to embark on a trans-continental trip and want to eliminate the nagging fear I'll be eaten by wolves in rural North Dakota with a dead battery.
Thanks
