Problem with dim lights on 323F
Hi all,
Firstly to introduce myself I'm James I drive a grey 323F.
My problem has occurred since my main fuse blew in the car, when I switch on my dims the headlights don't pop up (however they are turned on), I can pop them up manually using the button on the dash or when I flick to full beam they come up but once i flick back to dim they go back down.
Another side affect of the problem is the lights on the dash no longer turn on (all gauges work and the clock also works).
I have checked all fuses and they are all fine, I recently installed a new radio and I can't see this as the problem as its just plug and play and it works fine.
Anyone had this problem before or any idea where I can start troubleshooting?
Cheers,
James

Why did the main fuse blow?
I would check the alternator. Take it out and have it checked by a parts store. If the voltage regulator malfunctions it can have all kinds of consequences. Blown fuse, malfunctioning dash, dimming and brightening of the headlights, damage to the battery, you name it.
