Default Where is the thermostat. (323 -02)

Hello.
We have a problem with our Mazda 323 -02. It a little bit cold in the car when it's over -20°c.So i think we have to change the thermostat.
Is itdifficult to change. Were is it placed?
Picture anyone?
It's the 1.6l motor.

English is just fine Jonne88.
Yes the thermostat is located behind the housing with the two bolts where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.

Purchase a new thermostat (the auto parts store should be able to tell you if you need a gasket) and some gasket sealer.

Remove the upper radiator hose from the engine end (catch the coolant and dispose of it properly).

Remove the thermostat housing carefully.

Clean the old gasket/gasket sealer off the surfaces very carefully (you need to use a soft scraping tool, like a gasket remover or a flattened copper pipe, you do not want to gouge a hole in the surfaces).

Using a very thin coat of gasket sealer and a new gasket and thermostat reassemble. Make sure that you get the thermostat in the right way round.

Replace the upper radiator hose.

Refill the radiator.

These are generic instructions, but that's the procedure.

I hope that this helps,

Z.
