1990 B2200 engine swap - Petrol F2 to Diesel WL-T
Hey there,
Recently got a '90 B2200 for a great deal, but really want a Diesel Ute rather than petrol.
I've found a good deal on a WL-T which is one of the engines it shipped with as default, but am wondering if I need a transfer case to use the existing transmission, and if there's anything else I need to know to make this transfer.
Any advice also appreciated, I'm not an experienced mechanic but feel comfortable that I can take on the job one step at a time.

Ah, yup, sorry terminology knowledge is a bit weak.
However the question remains the same, is there anything needed to interface between the WL-T engine and the stock 5 speed manual transmission that came with the F2 engine?

I don't know what the bolt pattern layout is on the WL-T engine, but according to Wikipedia, that engine was available from 1998-2006, so chances are, you'll need an adapter plate.......or get a beefier trans (what I would do) that originally was installed behind it.
If you have a pic of the engine bell housing bolt pattern, post it so we can see.
