Default 1991 B2600i Issues

Okay here is my issue. When I try to start my truck the thing just turns and turns and turns but will never start. The fire is right and fuel is right. I have replaced plugs, wires, rotor, distributor cap, ECM (repaired by AVPRO), Timing and Balance Chain. After all of this still won't run right. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it please let me know.

Hey Bigboss - I had a simmilar issue with my '92 B2600i. Engine would just spin and never fire. I found that the little grey plug on the body of the distributor with four wires coming out of it had deteriorated and was no longer making contact. Searched and searched but could not find a replacement so molded one out of silicone to hold the wires in position and it's been fine ever since. Don't know if your problem is the same but it won't hurt to check.

UPDATE: Took a look at this plug and tested for continuity and everything checks out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might start next? Thanks.

Try this if you haven't already. Remove the spark plug from no. 1 cylinder. Stick something in the hole(I used my finger and not trying to be dirty!)and try to turn the motor over by hand until you feel air pressure blowing out. Thethe cranshaft pulley mark should be close to the TDC mark. The next step is to confirmthe rotor in the distributer is in line with the number 1 spark plug wire plug in the cap. If all this checks out the mechanical timing should be ok. When the timing chain was replaced, did you position the cam shaft sprocket timing mark at a 3 o'clock position? I once bought a non running B2600 and the problem turned out to be the distributor was 180 degrees out of time. Good luck and hope this helps.

I tested this and everything checks out OK and I made sure on the cam shaft sprocket being a 3 o'clock. Thanks for your help but I'm still stuck in the same spot.
