Mazda BT 50 & Pickup Trucks While Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50

IM by myself stuck in the middle of the wood kind of isolated from all the city folks. So I'm waiting on my dad to bring me a new ECU thing that's bolted into my fire wall. If it works then hopefully my obd2 sensor will also. I don't have a partner who can help me see if it's getting sparks or not. But I know for a fact it is getting fuel. The correct mixture? Idk that yet. Hopefully changing my ECU fixes that.

You can check for spark BY YOURSELF with either a timing light or by holding a spark plug wire (with a spark plug in it) touching bare engine metal.

Pull a plug wire, insert a spark plug in its end, put vehicle in neutral with handbrake on, turn key to "Run" position, and for a few seconds "jump" positive voltage from either the battery positive terminal or from the large positive terminal on the starter solenoid to the small terminal on the starter solenoid, and use a rag to hold the spark plug to bare engine metal and look for spark, or use the timing light. A remote start cable/tool is handy for this too.

CAUTION: stay clear of radiator fan and drive belts, danger potential.

I don't have time to messa round with the truck and throw money into it. So I'm putting the transmission on my Mazda b2500 and putting it on my 1990 ranger. Just going to swap the bell housings. Also gonna use the battery in my Mazda. The funny thing to me is. The starter solenoid is by my fuse box separate from my starter. May just out the push start button on my ranger also just to be super safe with that issue too! Also if I have to use my starter on my Mazda I'll more than likely HAVE to install the push start button to avoid blowing fuses again.
