2008 4 x 4 BT50 front hub bearings
I recently replaced the Left hand CV joint assembly and during that work I got to wonder about HUB BEARING SERVICE REQUIREMENTS.
What should I be doing in regard to servicing these bearings?
Both hubs on this car seem to be smooth with no free-play.
The car has ABS if of interest.
There does not appear to be any ready access for greasing of hub bearings so I am thinking that they probably simply run to failure.(When they get noisy or sloppy)
But heck! I may be wrong and I am ready to be educated.
I also wonder about rear axle/hub bearings. Any action required there?

So......being from down under......could you post a couple of pictures of your 2008 BT50? Here in the United States, we did not get the Mazda truck imports after model year 1993. What we got after 1993 was a rebadged domestic Ford Ranger, that said "Mazda" on the front fender! Not the same for sure!
I am assuming that you got a true Mazda truck in your part of the world......but a picture would help us North American fans realize what your truck actually is.
On to the front wheel bearings......it could be the old style of wheel bearings where you pull the hub and replace the bearing and the bearing race that is pressed into the hub. OR, by 2008, Mazda may have gone to a component style front hub where it is sealed and you unbolt the hub and replace it as a whole.
After doing an online search, it looks like your front wheel bearing is a press in sealed bearing that is pressed into the original hub.......or you can buy a new hub that has a new bearing installed in it.

Thanks for responding.
From your information it does seem that my vehicle has a pressed in bearing and I assume that these are replaced as required when inspection reveals free play so will leave that alone for now as al seems good.
I cannot give you much in the way of vehicle photos as it is currently in a significantly disassembled state.
I purchased it in broken down condition and currently re-building the engine among other tasks.
I can tell you this: The Ford Ranger of the day was exactly the same mechanically as the Mazda vehicles.
The two makes just had different front mudguards (fenders), grille, bumper etc
