If you are really new to forums I can understand your confusion. But the information is stated that you accepted to be a members here like most forums.
crashing around a forum and wondering why things are not working for you is a real indication you should have taken the time to actually look around and see how things work before posting.

I wasn't crashing my way through the forum, its seems small innocuous posts, were posted immediately.
however the reason i joined the group was to seek some clarity on an issue that I'm struggling to get answers in Australia.
I didnt know duplicating a post to get answers is classed as scamming. Wasn't aware it takes 1-10 to get heard.
The 1st , the same as the duplicates, recieved the message regarding moderator, i saw nothing so I asked again.
Are suspected post just deleted with scrutiny.

You are so concern with how this forum is run then with your Mazda question? That would have any moderator or forum owner take notice to what is called suspicious activity.
So what's your question about your Mazda?

I'm a newbie with Mazda.
Just acquired the recommended OBD2 scan tool and the extended paid version of Forscan to remove Immobilizer light on dash..
I already knew I had a key problem as my only working key now causes a key (immobilizer) on dash.
Forscan shows a DTCWARN) [12:31:24.688] DTCs in PCM: P1624-FF
Attempts to remove code unsuccessful as key not recognized.
They key fits and worked prior till I fitted everything into a new housing, triggering dash light.
I purchased the scanner and forscan to reprogram key as I'm 300km from Perth metro Western Australia and have no access to locksmith as they want the Ute to reprogram new key/transponder.
I obviously need to reprogram key before I can remove code.
Can anyone guide me to where I can reprogram key , I saw a YouTube of it being done to a Mazda 3,
Not a lot of Mazda stuff that I can find.
Email sent to FORScan who advise that my 2010 BT 50, Quote. "This car has no Ford PATS, it is Mazda platform and Mazda engine, and has Mazda immobilizer. Dealership scanner doesn't program PATS on this car, sorry. You can request a refund for the Extended License, if you want.
A guy in a You Tube video programmed 2 new key to a BL Mazda 3 around 2009...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9x68jAUNbGE&t=5s...I now discover the BT50 and Mazda 3 platforms are different.
Well I'm looking at a way to reprogram my key transponder, People say go to Mr Minute but they need a working key to copy.
I need the PCM to recognize the chip.
The Ute was delivered to a local Mazda dealership, but they claim they couldn't access the PCM.
There is a guy who offers an exchange Immobilier, PCM service for $550, I still don't know where the issue is,
I have removed the PCM and immobilizer and will have them tested by a company in Perth, who specialize in this stuff.
Will also have the key tested to discover why it was working fine then not.
My plan was to remove the ignition key coil, but need some guidance on how his is achieved.
Is there any software available specifically for Mazda BT50?
Any advice appreciated.
TIA
Kappy

Ok well you went way to many steps before diagnosis the exact cause of the DTC and problem
BTW clearing or resetting a engine check light only turns off the engine check light on the dash. Unless the problem was resolved it si still in the ECU pending files.

Just an update on my key issue. 2010 UN BT50.
Visited an alleged PCM expert, who can check immobiliser and PCM for $400 AUD and repair if necessary for $1550 AUD.
Then visited a reputable locksmith, they scanned my only key and said it was good, except wrong numbers, then explained their may not have the correct equipment to program or correctly read the chip,.
They suggested an alternative with different equipment.
Visited these guys and contrary to my pre-conceived opinion were and are super helpful.
They scanned the key and confirmed is is good and the correct number transponder, they explained this model chip is generally not available any long.
It was suggested I investigate the key coil at the indition. as these can be a common weakness, before I start spending big $$$$ on stuff that doesn't fail readily.
I obtained a complete barrel from a wrecker, cheaper that obtaining a pre owned off FleaBay an not waiting. The barrel came with a genuine mazda key.
Also purchased a sniffer to test current coil.
Need to return home and reassemble everything, test current coil and install new one.
On another note is there a scan program available for this model to scan and remove codes?
Is it possible to have the key from a different BT50 of similar vintage programed to mine?
I have an EDS scan gauge which is pretty much a toy, doesn't read the DTS I know I have.
Any guidance appreciate.
Cheers Kappy
