what do you mean TSB? Ya I am planning to look at the junk yard and hopefully they have one. I am in a tough spot because my truck runs extremely well and the smog is due next month. I need to fix this to pass smog.

I cant find the egr valve sensor anywhere. What are my options? No one seems to have it. Even the junk yard. does any one know what kind of engine a b2200 1988 has? maybe another make has the same sensor that I need.

Well the trouble code tells me that the EGR Valve Position sensor has a problem. I removed the egr valve and cleaned it up as others have done. But I still have the light.
I tried calling around asking for a egr valve sensor and no one seems to have it.
How can I really find out if its the egr valve sensor or the egr valve causing the problem?

I have a 89 b2200 5 speed with/
New carb, fuel pump, alternator, battery, and 2 failed smogs.
So i take it in for the first check and it passed but was failed because "visual inspection" he saw a few small leaks. I went got the exhaust welded and purchased some exhaust manifold gaskets, both ends. Went in for the recheck and he tells me it runs worse. I walk in to the test area and i smell gas. Go home, i find a leak in one of the vacuum lines to the HAC. I'm sure that would cause excess gas consumption and smell. Now believe me i have checked the lines, just about have em memorized including where they T off. Now with a newly patched HAC line, because thinking i might have corrected this, i was in for a surprise. MIL still comes on after about 60mph on highway, but as soon as i let go of the throttle it goes away. Also battery dies overnight so i get it replaced but BATTERY light is still glowing. Replaced alternator. I am still getting the MIL when on highway speeds or load, +60mph. Now i can only believe what is left to check is the EGR or o2 sensor, but I'm scrapping the last of my funds here. Ah, a little history; 204k miles with a rebuild at 190k. As mentioned i started replacing a few things recently. My last hurdle is this smog check and i just want to pass it so i can install these Effing pacesetters and weber. Oh lord!
