RE: '89 B2200 won't idle
I am wondering if the solenoid is bad and that is why it will idle now. The other concern is the idle switch. Is this a lower voltage switch? I was only getting a couple volts out of the connector when testing. If it is supposed to be a 12V circuit, that would explain why the solenoid would not activate. Any thoughts?

Hmm,it's been awhile since i messed with one but i recall having a poor connection on a couple years ago. It comes from the ECU ( left kick panel as i recall...maybe right lol). Chase the wires and pull the connectors apart. You probably just have a bad connection in the harness. Really the only problem you will have if you remove the plunger is dieseling when you shut the engine off.

ok since we are on the problem i'am having. i have a 1990 mazda 2600 4x4 and it revs out at about 12 0r 13 rpm's when i first start it, then when it warms up it drops to about 1100 rpm's, but since this is fuel injected what do i need to check it for proper idle thanks
