91 b2600i transmission problem

I called a shop and he said 3500 to just rebuild it as long as parts are available.
that’s at a shop that I know the guy for a long time.
that seems high.
so it looks like I’m going to have to repair it my self.
I’ve never done a transmission before but from what I have read as long as you can lay it back out the way you take it apart.
I will see I hope it’s obvious where the broken part goes when I get it apart.
I see I might need some special tools to do this …

That "GUY" doesn't want to do the job! But will for 5 times what it should normally cost.......or he just doesn't like you! LOL.......that is WAYYY too expensive for a manual transmission rebuild!!
Take it to a different transmission shop!
