B2600 2001 Bypassing Central Locking
Hi....... The central locking in my Mazda Bravo B2600 2001 Petrol Dual Cab is not working. The doors open but I can't start the car. Battery is good, starter motor is almost new. I think it's the S520-67-830 module = Unit Door, Lock & Timer Module which controls the central locking. The local Mazda spare parts are saying that these units are made to order and a 3 month wait.
Questions. Can I use a module from another Mazda model.......as there are other/similar Mazda modules that end in 67-830.?
Is there a way to bypass the module....... uno unplug the module and put straps between certain wires on the plug.?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram they can share?
If anyone can assist with the above that would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Unfortunately, the North American market never got to have the later B2600i models imported up this way, so therefore most of the regular members here don't have much info to share on them. That said, are you using a keyless entry fob to open the doors? And does the truck have a remote start feature? Or are you using an ignition switch key to try and start the truck?
If using the key, and the ignition switch (electrical portion in the steering column) is the same one that Mazda used in the earlier B2600i trucks, then your no start condition could be a worn ignition switch (electrical portion) that is a known issue with these trucks. I would check to see if the ignition coil has power (12v.) to it when the ignition switch is turned all the way to the 'crank' or 'start' position......sometimes when the ignition switch is worn, you will lose power to the coil during the cranking effort.
Welcome, and let us know what you find out.
