Cluth turned nightmare.......
#11
After lying to me about six times that they would get my truck over to the dealer, they finally got it over there this morning. After having my truck the better part of six weeks.
It took the dealer about 10 minutes to find that they had the O2 sensor wired backward. One of the first things the shop orignally replaced on the truck.
All of the other parts that were swapped were unneeded and I will certainly not be paying for, though i will do what is fair since I am getting the new parts.
The lesson here. Think small. Go back and recheck the simple things. I knew in my heart all along like I said that it was going to be something as simple as a groudn wire. And it was.....and Im not even a mechanic. Doesnt say much for those boys at that shop does it?
Another good thing that came from this is that Im now more than familiar with all the systems, sensors, etc of my truck. I think next time unless its major major work, I will fix things myself. Couldnt do any worse than the "pros" did.
