Crush Washer Size - Clutch Slave Cylinder
Hey guys, bug O'l rusty 4X4 sat for a few years (after almost killing me) and now the slave cylinder won't move. So I ordered one up and it seems they don't ship with a new crush washer for the hydraulic line. I don't have the part in hand but want the get the washer so I'm ready. Anybody know what size I need to get?
Thanks and Merry Christmas:-)

Hey OGOwner!
Stop by Harbor Freight or Northern Tools and pick up the assortment of Copper Washers in a plastic parts tray.......there is a size in it that will work......I've had to do the same thing.....twice! Worked out good that I had the assortment on hand the second time!

I have had to (as of late) double them up before also......when the China made threads in the Slave Cylinders are not drilled/threaded 90 degrees square with the sealing surface for the copper washer. So, once you get it together, tighten it good and check for a tiny leak.....sometimes loosening and tightening several times will help it seal as well.

I also have the HF copper crush washer assortment, comes in real handy. The washers are quite expensive when buying as a pair at the auto parts stores, and I can't remember if Ace Hardware sells these individually.
I bought my assortment when the two replacement B2200 front flexible brake lines arrived WITHOUT crush washers, a cost savings program by the supplier. What BS !!!!
Start threading into the slave cylinder but do the final tightening once the slave cylinder is mounted onto the transmission, and better with a 17mm flare wrench.

I've done this job countless times after having these trucks all of my adult life, but they always came with the washers. Nice thing with the 4X4 is I don't even need a jack or ramps. Parts arrive tomorrow so hopefully I can do it this weekend, and at least be able to move the truck around my property.
