The overheating may haved warped your cylinder heads causing water to leak past the cylinder head gasket in to your cylinder or your cylinder head gasket just gave up. I guess you changed your thermostat to late. The cooling system should be flushed every 3 years with new coolant.
Cylinder head definitely needs to go to a car machine shop for evaluation.

I would also seriously look in to the condition of your radiator. You may need a new one. Definitely a new rad cap.

Yeah I had the same problem with mine and my head was warped terribly take and pull the head and take it to a machine shop and get them to check it resurface and pressure check it then take a rag sop up the coolant from the piston then get a new head gasket and out it on and you should be good but check the top of your block and make sure that there aren't any rings on top of the block by the cylinders if there is you might need to get that resurfaced. I am currently rebuilding my block so I know what your going through I've done a head gasket twice on mine this time I just decided to rebuild the whole thing. If you need anymore help with it just let me know.
