Default Diesel swapping my 88 b2200

So for a while now ive been tossing up ideas of throwing some sort of diesel in my 88 b2200 to have a little more fun with. I Recently found a mercedes om617 5cyl turbo diesel on marketplace and bought it. It has some blowby so i plan on rebuilding it before putting it in my truck. But my problem right now is that it didnt come with a transmission tried doing research to see what my the trans is in my truck to see if it would handle the stock power of the diesel. (Ofc i would need to build an adapter plate) But i couldnt find much just wondering if i could get some help on some max input torque specs for a 5speed. I know people turbo these trucks all the time and make over 150 usually but never really see torque specs and thats what usually shreds your gears. Also was curious about the gearing aswell if i need to find a new axle or would the factory gearing be fine. My truck is a 1988 mazda b2200 base 5speed manual thats 2wd and its carbed atm. The new motor is a mercedes om617 5cylinder turbo diesel. From what i can tell just by looking at the size of the bellhousing i shouldnt have a problem with the clutch not fitting but u never know. And i dont have a problem with shaving some of the bell housing to make it fit either. Anyways any help much appreciated. Thanks! 😁
