Picked up a pair of b2000s, ones an 83 and ones an 84. From what I've been learning, there was no 85 and the 86-93 (Gen 5?) is the most common.

Trying to just find general parts n stuff for pre 86 seems impossible.

Anyone know how similar they are (if not identical)? Do all most body panels / bumpers / bed and whatnot just swap over?

 

The body panels for the 1983 & 1984 models should swap over. The 1986 & up will not swap over.

 

Ya was looking at pictures the other day, front fenders definitely not the same between 84 and 86

Does anything from 86 swap to the pre 85 style?

 

Maybe a few minor items, but probably not many at all.
