Hi guys, The gearbox on my very loved E2200 died on me last July, and the garage said it's not repairable. I live here in Portugal, and have been looking for a replacement box this entire time, but have had no luck, I can only find spares for the pick-up version it, not the passenger model. So I come to you as a bit of a last resort, any ideas on how I could get one here? I'm willing to import one from somewhere but I don't know how feasible that would be, has anyone in Europe imported parts from abroad and knows what the shipping/import fees would be like? Welcome! Can you post a few pictures of the transmission? Do you know if it is the same as the B2200 transmission? If it is not, what are the differences between the two? Maybe the center section (gear case) is the same between the two........pictures will help explain a lot. Thanks.

 

Maybe should post pictures of the engine too. We in USA are not familiar with E2200 or Bongo nomenclature.

 

E series is a van.
B series is a ute/truck..
Bongo is a JDM version of the E series van.
E2200 is a 2.2 4 cylinder diesel (R2)
