Ebay cylinder head?

Ebay cylinder head?
I tried to resurface my 315k mi cylinder head after a blown head gasket. it looked much better and flatter with a straight edge but I may have sanded off too much.
has anyone bought one of these? Rebuilt head, machined, comes with valve train and new valves. Seems like ebay sellers all rebuild with mechanical lifters. I currently have hydraulic lifters.

Please don't debate this with me. about engine machining.... I know things...
I would recommend to find a seller that is on line with a business listing and history of offering rebuilt heads rather then changes an ebay seller business unless you can confirm their history in the business and they have an actual brick and mortar business other then another ebay seller?
Besides in SanJose if you do a 75mile circumference you can find many engine machine shops that can likely do a complete valve job which would include resurfacing and pressure testing you own head more then likely less then you ordering one on line.
You should also call a local NAPA auto parts and get them to give you a cost as well. Many have contact services and accounts directly with local engine machine shops so they act as a go between accounts like auto service shops that also buy parts from them. t

I didnt know that about Napa.
I called some machine shops but they wanted more than the price of the rebuilt ebay heads and no guranteed turn around time. Thought I’d to try the caveman resurfacing on a marble slab, its just getting close to the valves. The block may also need to be resurfaced but I didn’t mess with it.

I wouldnt expect it to last forever. The replacement cylinder head is worth more than the truck. Its not worth putting alot of money into it. If I can get running for some dump runs thats all I need.

Wouldn't a cylinder head without provision for EGR cause issue with California emissions regulations????
Folks have used Clearwater/Odessa mechanical cylinder heads on their trucks and report success, I suspect Mizumo is simply a reseller. In 2011 I purchased pistons, rings, rod bearings through Mizumo and was satisfied, but had my cylinder head rebuilt locally.

Current emission testing goes directly to the OBD Diagnostic connector and then connects to the State of California ARB. So at this points it becomes State record of pass or fail. So it may indicate the missing emission components. And depending on the shop the visual may no longer pass? What you should do is go to a pre check of your emission before actually getting your bi-annual test. This way if you fail you will not be "REQUIRED" to go to a California only SMOG testing station in which they will scrutinize everything.
There is a difference between an independently SMOG test shop and a California Emission Testing and inspection station which is directly from the state of California.
