I am looking at another B2200, Cab Plus with 350,000 km on the clock. BUT it has surging issues, I think its a Vacuum leak, thought I should ask you folks
My 4.3L Vortec inline 6 is too hungry to feed.. $300 in fuel this past week alone, only driving 112 Km return trip.
In my head a ****box Mazda pickup is still better than a ****box Chevy Trailblazer Although the 4WD was nice to have last winter, as that heavy bitch road nice, on garbage almost bald tires..

Is that surging happening on its own, without anyone pushing on the gas pedal? I sure don't know anything about the EFI B2200 models though.
As to gasoline: my 1988 B2200 Cab Plus only gets like 16mpg so I'm going to adjust its Weber to see if that helps. My 1998 and 2004 Frontiers (both 4-cylinder and 5-speed) really do average 26mpg.

Big knobby tires do not help MPG.. My Trailblazer has M&S Black lion, with a light aggressive tread,, and although I get 15mpg its still because it is a 4.3L i6 with 275 hp, and I like to see all those ponies in action, and the sled also weighs twice that of a B2200 with a Curb weight of 4,432 lbs, BUT I also have a 6800 lb towing cap

By the way, my 1970 VW sedan (bought in 1972) when a few years old got like 22 mpg but my slightly heavier 1971 VW convertible got almost 30 mpg, never did make any sense either.

He went full on gang-sta & pimped out his sled with those wheels & tires. If it ever be stolen then it could probably be found in da nearest hood.
