Mazda BT 50 & Pickup Trucks While Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50

Hey Mr. Cuss, my wife's Nissan Frontier has a problem with a slow freon leak & I remember I saw in one of your posts that when you were a mechanic, you had great success stories with some stuff that you use to add to a/c systems to seal a leak.
Is Red Angel the stuff you use?

NO. NEVER. NEVER use a stop leak product, AC sealer, or any refrigerant containing a sealer. There is no miracle in a can for AC, sorry.

Mechanic will NOT work on a system that's had sealer in it, will RUIN their expensive equipment, so they test for that.

Use UV dye, electronic sniffer, soap bubbles, and/or visual examination for oily residue to find the leak, and then repair the leak, evacuate, and re-fill with correct amount of refrigerant by weight.

AC work is significantly more involved than stuff like installing a radiator, water pump, etc.

Well stick a feather in my cap & call it macaroni! I thought it was you that used Red Angel.
It must have been Bar's leak head gasket sealant that you were so sold on.

Nope. I don't do any "miracles in a can" !!! No oil additives, no carburetor/injector cleaners, etc.
