Help: Vibration after Front end suspension overhaul
Mazda BT 50 & Pickup TrucksWhile Mazda may not be known for their trucks, they have always produced quality reliable trucks for both hauling cargo, or simply crusing. BT 50
UPDATE: FIXED!!
I hope nobody has to go through all the crap I did, only to find out their new tires were just not mounted and balanced correctly.
A couple of months ago - put into motion because I was having some steering wheel wobble at highway speeds - I decided to replace a bunch of my 1988 B2200 front end parts, as most were either lifetime-warrantied or RockAuto closeout parts I had on hand; plus some tie rod and ball joint boots were torn. I did buy tensioner bushings and sway bar bushings as my truck still was on the factory ones. So after installing all those, and finding a steering shaft coupler was stripped out, still had the issue. I had decent front tires but my rears were old and worn, so I couldn't swap from back to front to troubleshoot.
So I went to Discount Tire and bought two tires, had those mounted on the front. The two decent tires were re-balanced as were out, and I asked if that was enough to cause the wobble, and their "tech" wasn't sure. But the new tires on the front fixed my problem.
