There are plastic trim clips that hold the sides & top trim in place.....the rounded corners slide onto the sides & top pieces.

So then does it leave a channel when you remove it or is there a rubber seal behind it?

It does leave a narrow channel between the outside edge of the windshield, and the body of the truck.......since the body of the truck is offset inward so the outside surface of the windshield is almost flush with the truck body, once the urethane sealant and windshield are installed, that is ......as in most vehicles.

Yes I see now that I have it all out. I’ll have to see if I can find black replacement trim or I could just lay some black vinyl over the chrome trim. Thank you.

It has been my experience that the "Black" windshield trim from Mazda was a metal trim (non-stainless) with a black plastic coating on it.......and over the years, the plastic would get brittle and crack/peal off. So it may be better to scuff up your stainless windshield trim and paint it black......unless you can buy new black WS trim from Mazda.

Could be purchasing a 2014 Yukon Denali (76K miles) as replacement for Mrs. Cusser's ruined 2011....

Sweet! My daughter (22 yrs young) just bought a 2022 Hyundai Sonata SEL that she has been dreaming about purchasing......found one with only 1350 miles on it.....had her buy an extended warrantee on it since Hyundai has had some engine issues (like most manufacturers today!) for several years running now. She has been driving the wife's older 2009 Sonata......thought she needed a newer one I guess.

We need to trade up the wife's Ford Escape soon......known engine issues with the 1.5L turbocharged 4 cyl engines in those also......her's is fine for now, but apparently they are ticking time bombs, due to the engine block design (open deck block for better engine cooling) that eventually compromises the head gasket and most will overheat and damage the entire engine......since no one opens their hood to check fluid levels these days!!

Default Progress update…

Little progress made on the front end. Replaced pretty much everything except the hood which was sanded and primered. Little truck is coming along. Seat and door panels are at upholstery shop and new carpet going in. We laid down some hush mat inside as well.
