got a plow from an old dodge d50
made my own mounts and cut up the old light frame harness and mounted to the bush guard
works well

any guesses how long the front end(tie rods/ball joints/TORSION BARS) will last?

You're going to be going through ball joints like candy... do you like candy? =)

ball joints ? there new (i can see that with the added weight of the plow)and being ungreaseable/sealed units
i thought for sure the torsion bars as they are still original would be the first to go

I have run 35" Thornbirds on the stock torsion bars for about 40k miles and they're still fine. Tie rods have survived too, no noticeable slop in them but the ball joints have suffered horribly. I'd assume that'd be close to having a plow on... except those big tires SHOULD have killed tie rod ends.
