Default Rear drum leaking fluid. Wheel cylinder?

Hi all. Just had the brakes go out on my 97 B2300. Got her parked at home and see brake fluid coming out of the rear drivers side drum. Brake line looks fine so im assuming its the wheel cylinder inside the drum doing the leaking since thats where the fluid is coming from (drum). Would that be correct? Im not the best when it comes to working on cars and have never worked on drum brakes before. Normally just do regular maintanence so im not 100% if that would be the problem. If it is, is it an expensive part and how hard is it to install for a amatuer backyard mechanic? I appreciate any info/help.

Thanks.

Sounds to me that the wheel cylinder is leaking, this has been my case in years past. The job isn't difficult to do it is just tedious and time consuming.

Thanks for the reply. I did a bunch of research and found out that it must be the cylinder and reply just backs that up. All other vehicles ive had that ive actually done work on were four wheel disc brakes so I didnt know anything about drums. Time to learn I guess and start tearing her apart. LOL

Thanks again.

if its your first time on drums watch your knuckles with the springs and be sure to bleed the new ones properly . ps check your brake line into the cylinde first, their notorious for rusting out
