A Small Project B2200

Thanks for the note Cusser.
The photo I posted is an early shot before I finished the install. The truck is in Baton Rouge and I'm in California, so updated pix will be sort of unavailable.
When I installed the header, the three hoses (red arrows) went away. They were very noisy without plugs in them.
For the vent from the valve cover to the air filter (blue Arrow) - I eliminated the elbow and plugged the hole. I bought one of those cheesy chinaman air filters that plugged into the rubber grommet on the valve cover. It does the trick.
Since the engine is so clean, and I use synthetic 15W-40, it has almost zero blow by. Hard to believe, but true.
The weber bowl vent (orange arrow) should be connected to the cannister, but I eliminated that also. I probably shouldn't have gotten rid of it, but it looks better without it.
The hose (yellow arrow) from the PCV actually is pretty durable. It has reinforcing in it and is good to about 160*. So far it has held up very well.
I drove the truck from California to Tucson, then to Baton Rouge. It was 100* + most of the time.
The truck was towing my dune buggy and the engine temp was stable the whole time.
It is hard to believe, but the truck was getting 17 MPG towing the dune unit at 70 or so MPH.
Without the buggy in tow, it gets 20 MPG at 75 / 80 MPH. I was totally surprised. I clocked it over 1,400 miles.
I have been debating whether to install a 5.0 Mustang engine into this rig. There is so little performance equipment available for these engines.
One of the next projects for this engine will be removing the intake manifold and port matching it, as well as cleaning up the plenum under the carb. The adapter plate could use some smoothing and shaping.
I am also thinking of running the Weber 38/38 "outlaw" carb. Don't know if it will be too much for this weezer, but I may give it a try.
I think I mentioned that this rig struggled to put out 75 HPs on a dyno. FTW...

I think Cusser and Lizard King are the only ones who visit this part of the forum.
After the Mazda B became a Ford, interest fell way off.
At least I have some originals.
I am hoping I can find a semi decent 72 to 76 Mazda pick up.

Could be - the Japanese-made Mazda trucks are really becoming rare in USA. I rarely see one listed on the Phoenix or Arizona Craigslists, and can go months and months without seeing one on the road.
