truck shutting down

RE: truck shutting down
My 1990 B2200 acts simillar to what yours is. It will take off just fine, but going down the road it will act as if you turned off the ignition, but picks right back up. I checked my fuel tank and ended up changing my fuel pump, which did not help my problem. Please let me know what you find on yours. I am at a loss right now. I believe it to be something electronic, but have no clue.

The fuel filter on these trucks if they're fuel injected is on the firewall passenger side. As for your stumbling problem, mine didn't stumbler after a while, it would run and die and then NO spark. I eventually traced it to a leaking capacitor on the ECM board that shorts other circuits on the board. Here's a link that help me with a visual. http://www.avproecm.com/index.htm
I didn't use them for the repair job and instead went o another repairman on Ebay.

1owner - how did you or your mechanic diagnose this? I had same issue 1.5 years ago, my mechanicat first thought carburetion/computer but his partner guessed ignotor & pickup, even though the symptoms were not those typical failures (mine would stall after 45 seconds of idling). He tookthe distributor off his son's B2200 and tried it on mine to diagnose, because those parts are pretty expensive (and he didn't want to stick me with $$$ that didn't help me).
